Our Location
Brewarrina Christian School is situated in the central-west of New South Wales.
A 1200 acre property 50 kilometres south of Brewarrina township in Gongolgon was available and it had a self-contained school already on it that had closed in 2018. GPCC bought the property with a view to running outdoor education/adventure activities and curriculum experiences for their students and leasing the school site for a new school to open. An application was made to the NSW Education Standards Authority in March 2022 and approval to open the school was granted in September.
Brewarrina is a small town of approximately 1000 people and the school will cater for local students initially with boarding facilities to open in a few years’ time for students from other outback towns.
We currently have 26 students, K-9, on Ngemba Station. And we have approval for K-10 for 2025.
The school site has five staff houses, two boarding houses for 21 students each, science, TAS and Food Technology classrooms with general learning spaces in them and a general classroom plus offices, ablutions and a commercial kitchen and dining room. The grounds are spacious, and the site is self-contained with its own water treatment plant (water license for water from the Bogan River) and sewage system.
